Do you wonder what you can do to help our Mother Earth? Or perhaps you're interested joining activities that aims to promote environmental awareness, conservation and preservation?
With that in mind, Nuvali, the country's largest sustainable eco-community, has organized an event called I Love Earth, a month -long celebrating our planet. Nuvali has put together 30 days of fun and learning, designed to boost environmental education, action, and understanding topics affecting the health and well-being of the world we live in; as well as foster the need to protect, preserve, and conserve our earth.
Last may 14 2011, I was invited to witness the ribbon cutting ceremony in Nuvali Sta. Rosa Laguna, as a start of celebration of the event to pay tribute to Planet Earth. It was hosted by beautiful-funky Anna Domingo. The event is encouraging everyone to get involved and take action, to embrace a better way to do things, and celebrate the planet everyday.
One of the activities we did during the event was the the "Do the Ink". It is a big-white blank board where you can create an artwork through painting, or just writing a message to our Planet Earth. We also checked the booth offering handicrafts, showcasing a new ways to reuse items deemed as trash. You can buy their products like handbags, doormats and other masterpieces with recyclable materials at a reasonable price.
They also discussed about the health and wellness, focusing on what eating healthy and living exactly mean. Slimmer's World and Yoga Philippines give talked on how beauty treatments, aerobics and yoga will help everyone on living a healthy-lifestyle.
You may also check the exhibit of photos and paintings related on environmental awareness and protection. They will also provide photo workshop and competition. You can check the following scheduled activities listed below:
