A day of fun and exciting activities, CONVERSE presented “The Converse Block Party” last May 28 at SM Mall of Asia. This event featured live graffiti, basketball exhibition games and shooting competitions, skateboarding competitions, beatbox contest and the electrifying performances of the Philippine All-Stars, Krumpinoy , Callalily and Gloc 9.
Honestly, I’m an avid fan of Converse shoes. I have 2 pairs of Converse Chuck Taylor shoes which I used most of my outdoor activities. The style and design are fashionably unique and very comfy to wear. That’s the reason why Filipino’s much love this brand of shoes.
Art is very captivating to my eyes. The venue became the playground of everyone while doing their own arts using colorful chalk and spray paint. Filipino’s are really certified creative and innovative. I saw some Filipino artists doing a design for Chuck Taylor shoes and I was impressed on their design and artistic hand.

Basketball is to be said the most popular outdoor sports activities. That’s why the block party includes the basketball exhibition games, shooting competitions and other basketball related contests on this fun event. The UUAP varsities gave the audiences an ultimate exhibition games which gave additional impact to everyone to be participated on the block party.

Another exciting activity I’ve seen on the block party was the Skateboarding. Skaters were doing an exhibition on the artistic skate rink. They're young, hip and cool improving their passion on this kind of sports.
Overall, I really enjoyed my experience on the Converse Block Party. It was really a big success. And I would like to congratulate the people behind on this event. Cheers!
